I love my sister in law’s taste, so I asked her if she would like to join forces in presenting a shop of great things we just couldn’t let get away. So we set our searches in different directions; she lives in Idaho and Italy, and I live in California and Connecticut. Which makes our finds as different as our directions. And our journeys never-ending. The result is Uniques of a Kind, a wonderful mash up of furniture, jewelry and decor as unique as the new owners they’re searching for, and destined to make living spaces come alive with their whispered stories.
This guy is full of personality and truly gives you the once over as you walk by to enter a room. This hefty cast iron piece is a true original made by Hubley, a manufacturing company in Lancaster Pennsylvania in 1915. His patina shows he’s had a life well loved and all this handling has made him even more handsome with great black paint and iron highlights.
