I love my sister in law’s taste, so I asked her if she would like to join forces in presenting a shop of great things we just couldn’t let get away. So we set our searches in different directions; she lives in Idaho and Italy, and I live in California and Connecticut. Which makes our finds as different as our directions. And our journeys never-ending. The result is Uniques of a Kind, a wonderful mash up of furniture, jewelry and decor as unique as the new owners they’re searching for, and destined to make living spaces come alive with their whispered stories.
This guy has a screw on his side as if he were a bank. But there’s no slot on his back for coins. So maybe this irresistible form became so popular in the 1920’s that people just wanted him even if they had no money to save inside him. He’s heavy, hearty and handsome and would look great in a child’s room or on a desk in a library.
