I remember years ago being at a flea market with my then boyfriend and watching disdainfully while he bought vintage books, just for the spines, to fill his bookcase in his apartment. I remember thinking, “I could never take a guy seriously who bought books for looks”. Now, all these years later I am guilty of recently buying ten books simply because they were wonderful shades of vintage blue. I’m a sucker for color… and I add it in my projects wherever and however I can. That’s why these Hermes orange books with gold type caught my eye immediately and I knew they would be just the “thing” to complete a desk or a bookcase in a mid century setting. Books measure 7.5” x 5.25” each.
