First of all, I am in love with elephants. And clearly the word has gotten out cause it would seem that Change.org has me permanently tagged for any petition that has anything to do with the torture or mistreatment of these guys. Its gotten so that I squint when I open my emails, for fear I’ll see some horrible image of them being abused! So the fact that I was drawn to this wonderful vintage iron elephant wasn’t a big surprise. But this piece in particular checked off all the boxes for me when I’m looking for something to own… he has a wonderful stance and great expression… his green color is the best! … he looks like a bank but has no slot for a coin (he’s in two halves joined together with a screw)… and he’s really heavy so he can be just a great piece on a table or a bookend in a very chic library. He measures 8” from trunk to tail, and stands 6” tall.
