I love repurposing things as art for your walls…taking utilitarian objects and giving them center stage because they possess such beauty in their very production. This canvas and cowhide mail bag was filled with mail and cash while it rode the rails in the late 1800’s - early 1900’s. No doubt it saw its share of hijacks and heists en route. But, remarkably, It has weathered it all and made it to the status of collectible with wonderful details from buckles and metal loops; to studs and stitching and tassels.
