Antique Folk Art Duck Decoy
Antique Folk Art Duck Decoy
This antique duck decoy borders on folk art and a child’s pet duck. It is primitively hand carved and it’s black coat of paint is beautifully worn away in spots and most precious is the tack eyes. The handwriting on the bottom of the duck tell us that is a bluebill from the St Lawrence river in Canada. But what we like about it is it’s quaintness and how it can be used unexpectantly on a shelf or break up what might be a serious collection of books on a bookshelf.
13 ½” tip of bill to end of tail, 8” ht bottom to top of head, 2 ½” ht bottom to top tail, 5 ½” widest part of body.
